Taking your first steps into web3 can be overwhelming, with a plethora of wallet choices at your fingertips. In our “Wallet of the Week” series, we put the spotlight on one wallet and share why we think they’re worth checking out.

Three reasons why we’re exploring web3 with Frontier

Like the universe, web3 is continuously expanding — with new blockchains, new features, and new experiences. Frontier, a multi-chain wallet, helps you easily navigate this new world via mobile app (iOS and Android) and browser extension (Chrome, Brave, and Edge). You can also easily onboard, thanks to an onramp aggregator that identifies the most suitable way for you to transfer your fiat into crypto. And that’s not all!

The multi-chain universe at your fingertips: With Frontier, you can tap your way to over 35 blockchains, exploring tokens from EVM-compatible chains to layer ones such as Solana, Sui, Cosmos, Near, and Polkadot. You can also use the wallet’s swap and bridge aggregators to find the best rates and routes for you to move your holdings around the wider web3 world.

Security beyond self-custody: Exercising full control over your coins may be a core part of the web3 ethos, but users still need support when it comes to traversing this complex landscape, which is often pitted with scams. Frontier has built in multiple security features to this end, which includes a transaction simulation engine that detects fraud even before it happens. As the wallet scans each connection, it looks for possible malicious links and dapps. Frontier also offers direct dapp access from within the wallet, providing you with a safe and verified path to connection, in addition to hardware wallet support.

Planet DeFi: If you’re a fan of DeFi, Frontier has you covered. The wallet has natively integrated various protocols, meaning that you can access everything from within the app. You can stake across Ethereum, Polygon, and all Cosmos-based chains, as well as access liquidity pools with Uniswap and other popular protocols. Moreover, you can view and track your DeFi positions across chains, making it easier for you to manage your crypto holdings.

What’s next?

Seed phrases are less than ideal, and Frontier gets this. Frontier is now working on eliminating seed phrases through multi-part computing (MPC) technology. This would allow users to securely store a share of their key on Frontier’s very own Cosmos-based blockchain, which will soon enter testnet before launching mainnet.
