Walters Homes has received a 2016 ENERGY STAR Certified Homes Market Leader Award. The award is presented by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to outstanding partners who have made important contributions to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by building ENERGY STAR®-certified homes.

We are proud to be recognized by the EPA for our commitment to building homes that use less energy, save money, and help protect the environment. We want homeowners to have peace of mind knowing that they’re living in a home that’s been built to the EPA’s highest standards.”

To earn the ENERGY STAR label, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the EPA. These homes then undergo third-party verification of energy performance and are up to 30% more efficient than typical new homes built today.

The standard features found in our ENERGY STAR-certified homes include energy efficient appliances, effective insulation systems, high-performance windows, tight construction and ducts, properly-sized and installed efficient heating and cooling equipment, efficient products, and third-party verification of energy performance.
