Bi-Weekly Update [October 29, 2022]
A series of exciting events take place in the WAM community, and as usual, we’re here to bring you updates you might have missed out on over the past weeks.
Our bi-weekly updates are a great way to keep community members informed of all past and current activities, as well as notable milestones attained.

New week, new win! It’s another proud moment for the WAM team and community members as we won the award for the Top Blockchain Game of the year in the European Metaverse Awards — a pioneering award focused on actionable business opportunities in the Metaverse, with a unique focus on the European ecosystem.
For this award, WAM was nominated along with some of the biggest names in the gaming industry like Sky Mavis (Axie Infinity) and Star Atlas, so this win is bragging right-worthy!
Present at this award ceremony which took place in Berlin on the 27th of October was Alex Rus (CBO) who received the award on our behalf. Congratulations to us on this massive win!
Slush — a student-driven, a non-profit movement designed to change attitudes toward entrepreneurship has chosen WAM to be a part of the Slush 100 after over a thousand applications were reviewed. This start-up pitch competition has witnessed several winners over the years, and we hope to be next on the winners’ list for this edition.
Another opportunity to meet up with the WAM team is here! From the 1–3 of November, the WAM team will be attending the WOW Summit World in Lisbon, Portugal. This summit is the World’s biggest Web3 Conference, and will have over 1500 attendees and 100 international speakers. It promises to be a great chance to network and have fun.

The BNB Chain Tournaments started this week with Katanainu vs WAM. From 24–27 October, players participated by playing Knife Hit to win exciting prizes.
And now, the second phase of this tournament is on featuring The Wasted Lands. This tournament, tagged Path to $5000 promises to be fun as there are loads of prizes to win, like NFTs and $WAM. If you are yet to join in, then worry not as there’s still enough time to take part and get the chance to win fantastic prizes before the tournament ends on the 5th of November.
