Announcing WanDevs — The Connective Blockchain Community
Announcing the launch of Wanchain’s developer community, WanDevs, focused on building, advocating, and growing the world’s most advanced cross-blockchain technology
Wanchain, a blockchain infrastructure connecting the decentralized financial world, is ecstatic to launch our developer community, WanDevs! There are tens of thousands of developers across the world who have learned to build applications using Solidity and other technologies on Ethereum. Today, there is finally a community for these developers to expand their skillsets; these devs can use their Solidity skills to build more powerful cross-blockchain applications on Wanchain that can leverage the Ethereum and Bitcoin blockchains (and soon EOS). The community is supported by the Wanchain Foundation, in that the Foundation will provide ongoing support to developers, as well as the opportunity for financial support for excellent dApps or tools that emerge from the community. There is already a thriving community on our Gitter channel! See below for how to get started with WanDevs. We are offering a welcome gift and referral thank-you gift to developers who join (with an active Github account).
How to Join Us and Receive Welcome Gift in WAN
Visit WanDevs.org to join the Gitter community and discuss your first project or bounty. This site also contains active bounties being offered to developers, and provides directions for signing up for the welcome or referral gift (20–100 WAN). Gifts are capped at 100 new member gifts and 100 referral gifts, then 100 additional lottery winners will be selected after the initial caps have been reached. The lottery will be selected two weeks post-launch on all sign-ups and referrals submitted before 0:00 UTC April 19th. Sign up and refer other skilled developers as soon as you can!
WanDevs Goals
- Grow the cross-chain ecosystem by building applications and tools that leverage the power of cross-blockchain technology
- Advocate and educate the broader blockchain community on cross-blockchain technology and use cases
- Expand Wanchain’s presence and usage in the broader developer community through involvement in hackathons, virtual hackathons, conferences, and other events
