TL;DR Wanchain and Gather have deployed new decentralised, non-custodial bridges connecting the Gather Network to Ethereum and BNB Chain. The first supported asset is GTH. Native-to-native GTH cross-chain transfers are now live on BNB Chain, Ethereum and the Gather Network!

Blockchain interoperability promotes innovation and enables expanded use cases that unlock the full potential of blockchain technology. To achieve mainstream adoption, various blockchain networks need to be able to seamlessly transfer data and assets from one to another. One sector poised for a blockchain-fueled disruption is decentralised monetisation. Enter Gather.

Gather Network is a leading web3 platform that empowers developers and publishers to create, monetize, and secure their decentralized applications. Gather is creating a decentralized ecosystem that is reliable, secure, efficient, and rewarding for all parties involved. That’s why they’ve developed their own proprietary blockchain technology, offering a unique publisher proposition that’s second to none. By plugging into the Gather Network of website and app owners, developers and publishers alike can unlock new revenue streams and increase their revenue share.

Gather and Wanchain, the global leader for decentralised blockchain interoperability solutions, are proud to officially announce the addition of the Gather network to Wanchain’s cross-chain infrastructure.

Wanchain is both a sustainable Layer 1 PoS blockchain and a decentralised wide area network of blockchains. The Wanchain Layer 1 PoS blockchain is a full Ethereum-like environment that works with industry-standard Ethereum tools, DAPPs, and protocols. Wanchain’s wide area network of blockchains is a decentralised system of direct, non-custodial cross-chain bridges that connect both EVM and non-EVM networks without requiring any centralised intermediaries. Currently, more than 20 public networks are connected by Wanchain’s wide area network of blockchains including but not limited to Arbitrum, Astar, Avalanche C-Chain, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Litecoin, Optimism, Polkadot Relay Chain, Polygon, XRP Ledger, Tron and now Gather Network.

Highlights

The following public networks are now directly connected to the Gather Network by decentralised, non-custodial bridges: BNB Chain and Ethereum.

The first supported asset is GTH. The routes are:

  • Gather Network <> Ethereum: $GTH
  • Gather Network <> BNB Chain: $GTH
  • Ethereum <> BNB Chain: $GTH

How to complete a cross-chain transaction?

All cross-chain transactions between EVM networks follow the same process. A full guide can be found here.

About Gather Network

Gather is building a new blockchain protocol where publishers will be incentivized to run nodes to become one of the most decentralized networks and earn more via their visitors, while developers can create dApps thanks to low fees and fast transactions. Gather Online is the first decentralized application (dApp) released by Gather that allows websites and apps to monetize without or in addition to ads.
