Guide: Crosschain LTC using WanBridge Web

What is a crosschain $LTC?

With the rapid rise of blockchain technology, there are now thousands of public and private blockchains deployed around the globe. However, these blockchains exist largely in isolation; unable to communicate or exchange information with one another.

Making your $LTC crosschain-compatible allows you to take advantage of DeFi protocols on all blockchains to earn rewards and make your $LTC work for you! Crosschain-compatible $LTC is also called $wanLTC.

How to crosschain your $LTC using WanBridge Web

Step 0: Make sure you have a Wanchain wallet address.

Crosschain-compatible $LTC are stored in Wanchain wallet addresses. Any wallet that supports Wanchain will work. This guide suggests using Metamask. If you do not know how to setup Wanchain on Metamask, below is a video walkthrough.

Step 1: Visit WanBridge web at bridge.wanchain.org. Click Enter.

Step 2: Navigate to LTC Litecoin <-> Wanchain. Click Convert.

Step 3: Enter your Wanchain wallet address and the amount of LTC you wish to convert. Click Confirm.

Crosschain-compatible $LTC will be stored in your Wanchain wallet address. Do not enter an exchange address here.

Step 4: Confirm all your details. Click Start.

Step 5: Transfer your $LTC to the listed One Time Address. Click Confirm once you have sent your $LTC.

You can click the copy button next to the address. Send all the $LTC as a single transaction. Do not send multiple deposits to the same One Time Address.

Step 6: Wait for your conversion to process, it will take roughly 30 minutes.

You can track your progress by clicking the bell icon on the top right.

You will see multiple status updates: Processing, Converting in process, and Completed. As in the images below:

Step 7: Congratulations! Your $LTC is now crosschain-compatible!

If this is your first time, you’ll notice your account has been credited with a small amount of WAN for you first transaction! This is due to Wanchain’s universal crosschain faucet!

Once your crosschain conversion has completed, head back over to your Wanchain wallet and you’ll see your $wanLTC balance under the assets tab.
