Learning how to use a blockchain bridge to move your tokens cross-chain is one of the most essential skills for enjoying all the advantages of DeFi.

At Wanchain, we are pioneers of crypto bridging with over 6 years of uninterrupted uptime and zero exploits. We help thousands of users move their tokens quickly, securely, and cost-effectively. The biggest advantage is that all our bridges are fully decentralized, and you will always keep custody of your assets.

In this article, you will learn how to:
1. Bridge USDC from Avalanche to Cardano
2. Bridge ADA from Cardano to Ethereum
3. Bridge BTC from Bitcoin to Cardano

Equipped with this knowledge, the world of Cardano DeFi opportunities opens up to you. For example you can:

Without further ado here we go.

Mission One: Bridge USDC from Avalanche to Cardano

Step 1: Go to the Wanchain Bridge website and click “Connect Wallet”.

Step 2: Select the desired wallet you want to connect to our bridge. Mine is MetaMask.

Step 3: On the left side of the website, set “Avalanche” as your “From Chain” and “Cardano” as your “To Chain”. On the right side of the terminal, set “USDC” as your asset in the top and bottom segments.

Step 4: Copy and paste, or select your preferred Cardano address or wallet you want the USDC to be sent to. Then, set the amount of USDC you wish to transfer. Then click the blue “Next” button below.

We will send $20 USDC in this example.

**CONFIRM YOU ARE NOT USING AN EXCHANGE ADDRESS AS THE RECIPIENT ADDRESS. ** Click “Confirm” when ready.

Step 5: Review your cross-chain transaction details. Then click “Confirm”.

Step 6: Click “Next” for spending cap, and “Confirm” gas amounts when prompted on your MetaMask or Web3 Wallet.

Step 7: Sit back and watch the magic happen! This may take a few minutes!

BAM! It’s just that easy! You’ve successfully bridged USDC from Avalanche to Cardano!

Mission Two: Bridge ADA from Cardano to Ethereum

Step 2: Select the desired wallet you want to connect to our bridge. Mine is Nami Wallet.

Step 3: On the left side of the website, set “Cardano” as your “From Chain” and “Ethereum” as your “To Chain”. On the right side of the website, set “ADA” as your asset in the top and bottom segments.

Step 4: Copy and paste, or select your preferred Ethereum address or wallet you want the ADA to be sent to. Then, set the amount of ADA you wish to transfer. Then click the blue “Next” button below.

**CONFIRM YOU ARE NOT USING AN EXCHANGE ADDRESS AS THE RECIPIENT ADDRESS. ** Click “Confirm” when ready.

Step 5: Review your cross-chain transaction details. Then click “Confirm”.

Step 6: Click “approve” or “sign” in your Cardano wallet.

Step 7: Sit back and watch the magic happen! This process may take a few minutes.

Mission Three: Bridge BTC from Bitcoin Blockchain to Cardano Blockchain

Step 1: Go to the Wanchain bridge website and click “Connect Wallet”.

Step 2: On the left side of the terminal, set “Bitcoin” as your “From Chain” and “Cardano” as your “To Chain”. On the right side of the terminal, set “BTC” as your asset in the top and bottom segments.

Step 3: Copy and paste, or select your preferred Cardano address or wallet you want the BTC to be sent to. Then, set the amount of BTC you wish to transfer. Then click the blue “Next” button below.

**CONFIRM YOU ARE NOT USING AN EXCHANGE ADDRESS AS THE RECIPIENT ADDRESS. ** Click “Confirm” when ready.

Step 4: Verify the amount you wish to send. Then copy the “One-time Address” that’s underlined on the picture below. You’ll be sending your BTC from your Bitcoin wallet to this one-time use address to complete the cross-chain transfer.

Step 5: Open your Bitcoin wallet. Then paste the “One-time Address” from the previous screenshot.

Step 6: Input the same amount of BTC that you chose in step 3. Then click “Next”.

Step 7: Click “Confirm” to send the transaction.
