Wanchain Adds Real-World Data with Chainlink Integration and Partnership

Beta testing for Chainlink’s oracle service on Wanchain is live

Wanchain has set out to change and improve the way the world does financial transactions. In the new digital economy, people (and machines) will transact on a daily basis through smart devices using digital currencies. These transactions will be tracked on blockchain ledgers, many different and heterogeneous ledgers. We believe Wanchain will be one of the primary technology infrastructures facilitating these transactions between blockchains in the background, unbeknownst to the user. However, in order to reach this goal, applications built on Wanchain will need to leverage real-world input such as data from financial market data or IOT devices. These applications will also need to be able to send financial transactions from smart contracts to traditional institutions such as banks or credit card companies.

Wanchain is very pleased to announce our new integration and partnership with Chainlink. The implementation of Chainlink, currently in Beta, will bring access to information typically stored off-chain such as APIs, payment gateways, or feeds of data and information.

Why Chainlink?

Wanchain chose to work with Chainlink over other oracle providers for several reasons. First, Chainlink is running a decentralized network of oracles which creates an ecosystem providing safety and reliability. Also, as Wanchain seeks to create an exceptional experience for developers looking to build cross-chain applications, Chainlink is the perfect fit as it is known for being easy to use. Last, Chainlink will be an integral component of the new digital, blockchain-based economy. As Wanchain seeks to connect blockchains, both public and private, and connect to the traditional financial world, an integration with Chainlink is a no-brainer.

“We are very excited to partner with Wanchain to implement our oracle network on their leading interoperability platform”, explains Chainlink CEO Sergey Nazarov. He further states: “Chainlink seeks to create a future with secure smart contracts that are linked with real-world off-chain data. Building alongside Wanchain’s cross-chain technology will unlock immense possibilities for Chainlink and add tangible value to the users and developers we serve.”

Jack Lu, Wanchain’s Founder and CEO, says: “Integrating Chainlink into the Wanchain ecosystem is a critical and exciting step toward the global economic shift to digital financial transactions in everyday life. We are excited to provide Chainlink’s oracle network to developers on the Wanchain platform to begin building decentralized applications that can leverage real-world data from both the blockchain and traditional world.”

About Chainlink

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that enables smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments. Chainlink is consistently selected as one of the top blockchain technologies by leading independent research firms such as Gartner. It is well-known for providing highly secure and reliable oracles to both large enterprises (SWIFT) and leading smart contract development teams.”

About Wanchain

Wanchain is a blockchain platform that enables decentralized transfer of value between blockchains. The Wanchain infrastructure enables the creation of distributed financial applications for individuals and organizations. Wanchain currently enables cross-chain transactions with Ethereum, and the next product launch will enable the same functionalities with Bitcoin. Going forward, we will continue to bridge blockchains and bring cross-chain finance functionality to companies in the industry. Wanchain has employees globally with offices in Beijing (China), Austin (USA), and London (UK).
