Canggu is a popular destination for expats and tourists alike, known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant nightlife, and laid-back lifestyle. While it is known for being a more affordable place to live compared to other parts of Bali, the cost of living in Canggu can still vary depending on your lifestyle and personal preferences.

Accommodation:

One of the biggest expenses for anyone living in Canggu will be accommodation. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in a central location can start at around IDR 8 million (approx. $560) per month, while a three-bedroom villa can cost upwards of IDR 25 million (approx. $1750) per month. Prices will also vary depending on the amenities and location of the property.

Food:

Eating out in Canggu can be affordable, with a meal at a local warung (Indonesian food stall) costing around IDR 20,000 (approx. $1.40) and a meal at a mid-range restaurant costing around IDR 80,000 (approx. $5.50). If you prefer to cook at home, you can expect to pay around IDR 100,000 (approx. $7) per week for groceries.

Transportation:

Getting around Canggu is relatively easy, with a wide range of transportation options available. You can choose to rent a motorbike for around IDR 100,000 (approx. $7) per month, or hire a driver for IDR 500,000 (approx. $35) per week. There are also many local taxis and ride-hailing services available for a more convenient option.

Entertainment:

There is no shortage of entertainment options in Canggu, from beach clubs and restaurants to yoga studios and spas. A yoga class can cost around IDR 75,000 (approx. $5.20) per session, while a spa treatment can cost around IDR 250,000 (approx. $17). Prices for activities and entertainment will also vary depending on your personal preferences and the location of the venue.

Overall, the cost of living in Canggu can vary greatly depending on your lifestyle and personal preferences. While it is generally considered to be more affordable than other parts of Bali, it is still important to budget and plan ahead to ensure that you can enjoy all that Canggu has to offer.
