Development update — WandX Desktop App

This blog post highlights the updates that we’ve made to our desktop app over the last 2 weeks, as well as what we’re working on releasing in the next 2 months.

1. Wanchain wallets

The ability for users to create or import Wanchain wallets is now live on the WandX Desktop app. Users can create a new Wanchain wallet and store WAN or WRC20 Tokens releasing on the Wanchain Blockchain. By create wallet, we mean to create a private and public key pair. Users are always in control of their private keys. Users should always back up their private key and make a note of their wallet password.

2. Wanchain Basket Protocol

We have progressed further ahead on our roadmap on this feature. http://wanchainx.exchange contains the ability for users to create and trade in WRC20 Token Baskets. This app is currently live on the Wanchain testnet.

3. Contracts Mainnet

Both Ethereum and NEO smart contracts for the multi-blockchain DEX as well as the Basket Protocol goes live on the mainnet early next month. We’ll keep the community posted on this.

4. AION Wallets

The ability for users to create or import AION wallets will go live in mid-November. This wallet architecture is similar to that of Wanchain. Users are always in control of their private keys. Users should always back up their private key and make a note of their wallet password.

5. Wanchain DEX

We are working on a DEX on Wanchain to enable users to trade WAN for WRC20 Tokens through the Wanchain Blockchain. This DEX would also make it easy for existing ERC20 Tokens to potentially move to the Wanchain Blockchain in a seamless and user-friendly manner.
