This update has been long due and we apologize for the delay. We’ve been hard at work figuring out the platform release dates and bringing on additional members to the team to build and release a robust platform and drive the next leg of growth. We’ve also been thinking deeply about the direction of the company and the platform, and we have some clarity on each of these fronts that we’d like to share with you.

  1. Team: We’ve added some new members to our development team and the marketing team, all in an effort at helping build out a well-bolstered platform with enhanced the UI/UX. The new team will also work on exploring other blockchains.
  2. Roadmap: The roadmap for the current FY has been revised and divided into quarterly plans. One of the changes in the roadmap is the introduction of the Staking function. Going forward, the WandX Basket protocol will be used to enable Staking of Tokens across chains. Different Blockchains have different staking mechanisms, and the WandX Desktop app would provide a seamless interface to stake Tokens on each chain. The WAND Token utility would increase as a result of the Staking function and the benefits of it will permeate to all users.

a. April — June: Focus on releasing DEXs across different blockchains, followed by work on the structuring of the staking solution that utilizes the Basket protocol. Setting up the template for DEX aggregation across chains that enables a user to trade on DEXs across chains will follow right after.

b. July-September: Release the Beta version of the Staking solution on 5 blockchains, followed by the release of the Alpha version of the Basket Protocol that holds and trade staking Tokens. Alpha of the DEX aggregator will come towards the end of the September.

c. Oct-December: The Staking solution will be released and this will allow users to stake any Token (irrespective of whether the Token is a staking Token or not), and to receive dividends in that Token. DEX aggregator across chains will be released towards the end of the year.

3. UI/UX Revamp: Revamping the User Interface and User Experience of the Dapp has been on the agenda for a while now and with a team of new UI/UX developers on board, we hope to add tailwind to our efforts.

4. Smart contracts: The smart contracts on all blockchains have been tested thoroughly and will be pushed onto the mainnet in the coming days. We’ll confirm the days and dates shortly.

5. Staking architecture: We will be releasing an initial architecture that showcases how the Staking dapp and the DEX aggregator would work together to create a seamless experience for users.

What we have seen over the last few months is that the technology is moving at breakneck speed, but user experience and user adoption of blockchains, in general, is still slow. We remain committed to our vision of creating a decentralized platform for all, one which allows users — experts to novice — experience the world of blockchain in a way that is simple, exceptionally meaningful and rewarding.

This vision will trickle into the experience design of our DEXs, where users will be able to see how they can stake the Tokens in their wallets. The Basket protocol, too, was created with the objective of making entry into crypto easier, as well as the world of DEXs. And together with the new staking function, we hope to have pushed forward the agenda of making trading in digital assets smart and seamless.
