WANDNEO Token airdrop: Next Steps
The WANDNEO Token airdrop registration began on July 24th, and ended on August 10th. And between these dates, we’ve received over 25000 registrations for the airdrop!
We are currently filtering out all spam, errors and we expect there to be around 8000 registrations to whom we will be distributing 300 WANDNEO Tokens when they download the mainnet version of the WandX Desktop app.
The WANDNEO Token can be staked within the WandX Desktop app, and proportional to the amount staked, the user will receive NEOGAS that is generated on the platform as transaction fees.
Key timelines
September 12th — 30th— Release of the Desktop app onto the Main network on Linux, Windows. The wallets will be live on mainnet, users can create the NEO Wallets, users can download the app, fill out the airdrop form.
September 15th to October 5th — Users who hold WAND must install the Desktop app to get the 300WANDNEO Tokens as well as the 1:1 WAND to WANDNEO Airdrop. Users who hold WAND have to create a NEO wallet on the WandX Desktop app, then fill out the form given in the wandx.co website where they will be signing a transaction with either Metamask or Ledger.
After these releases, there will be updates to the app for the following features:
- Adding user profiles so that the Token Baskets maintained by users on the Basket protocol can be visible with a profile screen,
- Adding the request feature that enables users to request for certain Baskets to be created (This is similar to a buy order for a Token Basket),
- Ledger support for both NEP5 and ERC20 Tokens.
The next three month roadmap includes how a swap can occur between NEP5 and ERC20 while keeping the whole process decentralized and at the same time not using a separate Blockchain to confirm transactions.
