WardenSwap x Immunefi

WardenSwap aims to give rewards to white hats who uncover bugs in our smart contracts and/or vulnerabilities in our protocols by working with Immunefi.

Immunefi protects a variety of assets and services, including smart contracts, the website, and apps. The threat level for these assets is rated on a 5-level scale, from “None” as the lowest impact and “Critical” as the highest impact.

More information and specifics may be found in the updated Immunefi documentation, which can be found here: https://immunefi.com/severity-updated/.

Program overview

This bug bounty program is focused on the smart contracts and is focused on preventing:

  • Empty or freeze the contract’s holdings (e.g. economic attacks, flash loans, reentrancy, MEV, logic errors, integer over-/under-flow)
  • Cryptographic flaws
  • Token holders temporarily unable to transfer holdings
  • Users spoof each other
  • Theft of yield

Rewards by threat level

The Immunefi Vulnerability Severity Classification System V2 is used to award rewards based on the severity of the vulnerability. This is a simplified 5-level scale concentrating on the impact of the disclosed vulnerability, with different scales for websites/apps, smart contracts, and blockchains/DLTs.

Smart Contracts

All bug reports must come with a PoC with an end-effect impacting an asset-in-scope in order to be considered for a reward. Explanations and statements are not accepted as PoC and code is required.

All known issues highlighted in the following audit reports are considered to be out of scope:

Rewards for critical smart contract vulnerabilities are further capped at 10% of economic damage, with the main consideration being the funds affected in addition to PR and brand considerations, at the discretion of the team. However, there is a minimum reward of USD 25,000 for Critical bug reports.

Payouts are handled by the WardenSwap team directly and are denominated in USD. However, payouts are done in WAD.

All smart contracts of WardenSwap can be found at https://github.com/WardenSwap.

However, only those in the Assets in Scope table are considered as in-scope of the bug bounty program.

If an impact can be caused to any other asset managed by WardenSwap that isn’t on this table but for which the impact is in the Impacts in Scope section, you are encouraged to submit it for the consideration of the project.

Impacts in Scope

Within this bug bounty program, only the following impacts are accepted. Even if they affect something in the assets in scope table, all other impacts are not considered in-scope.

Smart Contracts/Blockchain

  • Empty or freeze the contract’s holdings (e.g. economic attacks, flash loans, reentrancy, MEV, logic errors, integer over-/under-flow)
  • Cryptographic flaws
  • Token holders temporarily unable to transfer holdings
  • Users spoof each other
  • Theft of yield
  • Transient consensus failures
  • Contract consumes unbounded gas
  • Block stuffing
  • Griefing denial of service (i.e. attacker spends as much in gas as damage to the contracts
  • Gas griefing
  • Smart contract fails to deliver promised returns, but doesn’t lose value

Out of Scope & Rules

The following vulnerabilities are excluded from the rewards for this bug bounty program:

  • Attacks that the reporter has already exploited themselves, leading to damage
  • Attacks requiring access to leaked keys/credentials
  • Attacks requiring access to privileged addresses (governance, strategist)

Smart Contracts and Blockchain

  • Incorrect data supplied by third party oracles
  • Not to exclude oracle manipulation/flash loan attacks
  • Basic economic governance attacks (e.g. 51% attack)
  • Lack of liquidity
  • Best practice critiques
  • Sybil attacks
  • Centralization risks

The following activities are prohibited by this bug bounty program:

  • Any testing with mainnet or public testnet contracts; all testing should be done on private testnets
  • Any testing with pricing oracles or third party smart contracts
  • Attempting phishing or other social engineering attacks against our employees and/or customers
  • Any testing with third party systems and applications (e.g. browser extensions) as well as websites (e.g. SSO providers, advertising networks)
  • Any denial of service attacks
  • Automated testing of services that generates significant amounts of traffic
  • Public disclosure of an unpatched vulnerability in an embargoed bounty

About Immenefi

Immunefi is a bug bounty platform that focuses on the security of Web3 and smart contracts. They help blockchain and smart contract projects with bug bounty hosting, consultation, bug triaging, and program administration.

Bug bounty schemes invite security experts to find and report potential vulnerabilities in a project’s smart contracts and applications, thereby protecting the project and its users. Security researchers are rewarded for their efforts based on the severity of the vulnerability as evaluated by the project affected
