League of Legends has announced 2016 World Championship to be held in United States at four different places. This is exciting because for the North American fans, it means gamers get to watch their favorite teams at a time they are not sleeping. The past two years it was held in Europe and South Korea, which the timezone did not align with watching a championship series. Now, North American fans have the opportunity to watch their favorite teams and enjoy the finals at a more conventional time-slot.

It is very exciting to be a part of a gaming community and with its expansions to multiple places in the United States it shows the growth and acceptance of eSports into the western countries. So get excited this year and we at Ward eSports expect community gamers to rally and find community gaming weather they are going to the stadiums or locally organizing.

Here are the current information that Riot Games has provide about the 2016 World Championship finals:

  • Group Stage: September 29-October 2 + October 6–9 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA
  • Quarterfinals: October 13–16 at The Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL
  • Semifinals: October 21–22 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY
  • Finals: October 29 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA
