As summer winds down and you find yourself longing for just a few more days of vacation, escape the daily grind with the highly-anticipated series and spectacular films and specials coming to HBO NOW in September.

This month, HBO welcomes The Deuce, a new drama series from George Pelecanos and David Simon. Starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhall, the ‘70s-set series chronicles that moment in time when sex went from being a back-alley, brown-paper-bag commodity to a billion-dollar universal in American life. The hit HBO comedy series Vice Principals from co-creator and star Danny McBride returns for its second season, while HBO Latino debuts J Balvin: Bruuttal, an exciting concert special that brings fans and an all-star lineup of special guests to the chart-topping Colombian reggaeton singer’s hometown of Medellín.

Other original programming highlights include the season finales of Ballers, helmed by Dwayne Johnson, Insecure starring Golden Globe®-nominated actress Issa Rae, and Hard Knocks ’17 — Training Camp with The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Theatrical highlights starting in September include La La Land starring Academy Award® winner Emma Stone and Academy Award® nominee Ryan Gosling, Academy Award® nominee Hidden Figures, Why Him? with The Deuce’s James Franco, Assassin’s Creed starring Michael Fassbender, A Monster Calls and Traders.

Departing titles include Academy Award® winner Slumdog Millionaire, American Psycho and American Psycho II: All American Girl, Central Intelligence with Ballers star Dwayne Johnson, Woody Allen’s Hollywood Ending, musical sensation Mamma Mia!, and the comedy classic Dumb and Dumber.
