This week, War Riders attended Pocket Gamer Connects, one of the biggest gaming conferences in Europe. The conference had a blockchain track with some notable speakers from Dappradar, Mythical Games and, of course, War Riders! There were tons of connections made and lessons learned. We’ve heard rumors that the NFT standards panel was one of the most interesting ones at the conference. The phrase of the day was: “The War Riders bundles were selling like hot c*ck cakes.”. You can see how the audience reacted in this talk:
Early registration for vehicle customization is now open!
Looking for something to do this weekend? Early registration for vehicle customization is now officially open! Everyone needs to have a game account in order to participate in customization and eventually play the game when it launches. You have to link your Ethereum wallet to your game account and pick a unique username.
What to do:
- Go to https://app.warriders.com/garage with your MetaMask on, or from your mobile Ethereum wallet, such as Trust.
- Click on your wallet icon at the lower left corner and click on LOGIN & LINK.
- Register for a new account, reserve a unique username and verify your email address.
- After your email has been verified, you can safely link your Ethereum wallet on the same screen.
Keep in mind that only one wallet can be linked to your account at a time. If you would like to link a different wallet to your account, you will first have to unlink your current wallet and then link a new one.
What is a War Riders account and how is my information being used?
Your blockchain wallet will always be a place where you store your most precious items from different games. At War Riders, we respect that, and we will never put our hands on what you already own. It’s yours forever and no one can take it away from you (guaranteed and secured by the Ethereum network). However, for security purposes, we can’t allow you to import your private keys (aka seed words) into the game client. Instead, you need to “authorize” your wallet to be securely used in your gaming account. We don’t store your passwords or your private keys. As always, only you are in control of your wallet, so be mindful of that and don’t lose your keys─backup your seed words!
Reserve a cool username:
We don’t ask for your real names but you can have a cool gaming nickname! Pick one at registration, and it will be yours forever. Keep in mind that the usernames are unique, so please hurry up before someone else snatches up your favorite handle!
How to start customizing your vehicles:
You will soon be able to download a game client from this page (keep refreshing the cat in the meantime). Installing it on your Windows, macOS or Linux computer will be a breeze. You will be able to login by entering your email + password and start customizing your cars immediately. The customization will be rolled out in stages so you can keep adding new things to your favorite rides. Please be patient while it’s undergoing final testing and getting ready for you to play with. The release can come out at any moment so stay tuned! There will be a separate announcement on that. We did discover a few critical bugs and security vulnerabilities, which we are doing our best to fix as quickly as possible.
