✅Shadow Sword of the Samurai: Of Mind, Matter and Magic
✅Teacher with the Compassion of the Heart
✅ Dr. Wayne Stein, AKA “Doc “I Am Blessed” SAMURAI SAM>
My Sensei or teacher remains the kindest man on the planet, and he has trained in some of the most serious sword arts in Japan. Indeed, he has many black belts, lived in Japan, and mastered an ancient samurai style.
If my back goes out, he will see me and correct it. If I need nutritional advice, he knows what will help, for he is a wise medical doctor.
If you watch Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai (七人の侍, 1954), this is the authentic style that was demonstrated. As a very popular course, I taught this class at my university for years.
I never thought one day that I would be practicing an authentic samurai martial art.
Suddenly, a miracle occurred on one day, he sat there, patiently, attentively, and intensely. Within my parallel projections of his emotions, I was a bit nervous, worried, and curious.
Sensei started to put on his samurai clothing after asking if he could show me something. I asked him what style he practiced.
I listened and thought that is impossible, for even Bruce Lee knew this was the most authentic and ancient of samurai arts.
His samurai sword was pulled out as he did a variety of forms. Then, he stopped and smiled, so I asked him why he came to visit.
Sensei replied that since I practiced kendo, a Japanese form of fencing, he felt, I could learn the koryo or traditional sword arts.
I asked if he could be my mentor and teach me. He replied, that he must get permission from Tokyo from the master there. Two years later, the approval arrived. Some 25 years later, I have become an advanced student.
I think it is one of the reasons I survived cancer twice because of the zen mind and mental sharpness of the mindful practices!
Thank you Sensei! I am not worthy .
