We’re on strike!

Good morning! You won’t hear anything else from the women and girls of Washington Leadership Academy today. We’re on strike as part of International Women’s Day and the Day Without Women. We will be visiting a women’s equality museum and the United States Congress together today while the men and boys of Washington Leadership Academy run and attend the school on this Day Without Women.

The Day Without Women is meant to help the international community recognize the value that women of all backgrounds add to our families, workplaces, and social systems while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, and sexual harassment. We strike for gender equality in all of its forms!
