Mayweather taunts opponent before disqualification sparks chaotic scene in the ring
An exhibition match between boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III, the grandson of a notorious New York mobster, ended in chaos in Sunrise, Florida. Referee Kenny Bayless disqualified Gotti in Round 6 for repeatedly grabbing Mayweather, leading to a heated confrontation.
Both fighters’ entourages rushed into the ring, causing a chaotic scene. Prior to the disqualification, Mayweather had taunted the crowd and showcased his skills. Despite the abrupt ending, Mayweather adds another exhibition win to his record. The 46-year-old Mayweather has not competed professionally since 2017 but has participated in seven exhibition matches, including bouts against Logan Paul and Deji Olatunji. Gotti, 30, is a 2–0 professional boxer and previously had a 5–1 record in professional MMA.
