Waves Association announces call for grant applications
Developers will be able to propose solutions to be built in the Waves ecosystem and bid for a total of 250,000 WAVES.
The Waves Association is excited to announce a call for the first batch of grants under the Waves Grants program for a total of 250,000 WAVES.
Grants will be issued in the Web 3.0 Development Grant category, aimed at incentivizing developers to build products on the Waves protocol that resolve specific problems and foster mass adoption of blockchain-based solutions, especially those in the area of inter-chain communications.
Applications will be accepted from December 1 to February 1. The association will promptly process all requests, and if an application is deemed valuable by Waves Association members, a grant will be issued before the application deadline.
Meanwhile, this will be just the first batch of grants, and more application calls in the same category will be announced at a later date.
Web 3.0 Development Grants can be awarded for the development of a range of solutions and products, including those but not limited to the areas of interoperability, scalability, and open finance .
The specific amount of each grant will be determined on a case-by-case basis, and the maximum size of a grant is 100,000 WAVES.
The Waves Grants program was introduced by the Waves Association earlier this year for individual blockchain developers, teams and start-ups willing and able to implement ideas that serve the Waves ecosystem’s interests.
In 2020–2021, the Waves Association plans to distribute grants with a total value of 1,000,000 WAVES via DAO, a community-driven tool that enables Waves Association members to announce grants and select recipients.
