We’d like to single out ideas related to projects by participants of Waves Labs’ grant program, namely # 1, 7, 15 and 17, in a separate group, and thank all of them.

Still, the contest was conceived to generate new ideas, so, we’ll find a way to reward authors of ideas already participating in the grant program within the framework of Waves Labs’ support.

Ideas # 2 and 9 will be sent to Waves R&D Department for further development. Their authors could take part in the development as well as implementation.

Also, we’d like to draw attention to ideas # 3, 5, 6, 10 and 11 as they have good chances for receiving support from the DAO community.

We remind you that projects that are most popular with the DAO community are later selected for participation in Waves Labs’ grant program.

And now we are glad to announce the contest winners - authors of ideas # 6, 9, 12 and 13.

Waves Labs’ team and Waves representatives chose the best idea from all tweeted submissions as the first-place winner.

The second-place prize went to the submission that had got the most retweets.

The third-place prize went to the submission that had received the largest number of relevant to the subject of the post comments.

The first prize and 1,000 WAVES will be awarded to the author of two ideas:

13 - Sell yours airdrop and other $Waves assets by one click.
12 - Betting platform.

First, the author presented not just an idea that’s useful for the community, but also implemented a working demo version.

Second, he suggested another viable idea, 12 - Betting platform, which, incidentally, is already being implemented by a Waves ecosystem project.

The second prize and 500 WAVES for the highest number of retweets goes to the author of idea # 6 - Online exchange with low commissions, referral program and share distribution of profit for investors.

In addition to the highest number of retweets, there is the community’s demand for an independent, community-driven DEX, or, at least, an OTC service.

Also, since a dApp for affiliate programs was earlier implemented as part of the grant program’s fourth batch, it is a template for projects that include affiliates as part of their functionality. This solution could be successfully integrated by either the idea’s author or any project interested in adding the affiliate model for attracting users.

Finally, the third prize and 250 WAVES is awarded to the author of idea # 9 - partially decentralized USD-stablecoin backed by hedge.

In addition to collecting the highest number of comments, the author prepared a document with detailed description of the idea. In the document, apart from risks and ways to counter them, he suggested advantages of the solution over the stablecoin model, described in a recent Waves Monetary Policy post:

“no turbid bonds that are either redeemed or not. There is already a real and developed economy of margin trading, where you can borrow BTC at 1-5% per annum.”

Which model do you think is more strong? Join Waves Labs Telegram Chat to discuss.

Also, this stablecoin could be in demand in case of lack of Waves USD gateway liquidity.

We call on all the winners to get in touch with us at mail@waveslabs.com to collect prizes.

We would like to again thank all the participants in the contest and underscore that it aimed to incentivize developers on the occasion of the Berlin Blockchain Week. If you seriously plan to implement a project or are in the process of doing that based on Waves technologies, you are welcome to apply for support from Waves Labs.
