Waves’ CEO delivered a lecture about blockchain at the prestigious educational establishment in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

On 25 July, Sasha gave a lecture about blockchain technology at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The performance was a part of the IntelLecture — a teleproject about the place of a person in a changing world.

Launched in 2015, the Center is a social, cultural and educational hub dedicated to the legacy of the former president.

The mission of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center is to preserve, study, and present to the public the historical legacy of the first president of the Russian Federation. It regularly organizes exhibits and conferences about Boris Yeltsin’s life and work, as well as on Russian and world history at the end of the 20th century. The Center’s complex includes a museum, exhibition and conference space and a branch of the Yeltsin Presidential Library.

The Yeltsin Center also supports activities in the following areas: Education, Culture, Youth, Intemational, Humanitarian Cooperation, Publishing, Literary Awards.

The lecture took a Ted Talks-style format, and was followed by questions from visitors. It was the first time that Sasha had presented Waves in Yekaterinburg.

The opportunities to deliver such lectures are growing with the profile of the Waves platform, establishing Waves as not just a technical presence but as a thought leader in the blockchain space.
