Waves Ducks update: “breeding” functionality

It’s time for gene experiments! On WavesDucks.com, generation of unique NFT digital ducks is available thanks to the “breeding” functionality. “Newly born” ducks inherit the genes of their two parents, while a unique random combination of genes is possible, too.

Last week, an NFT duck incubator was launched as part of the Waves Duck Hunters game. Over the first 4 days, 2,000 ducks of one of the two genesis types, Elon Duck and Satoshi Duck, were issued. This update facilitates the “breeding” of these ducks to produce new-generation ducks with a higher degree of uniqueness!

To “breed” an NFT duck, follow these instructions.

1: Log in to WavesDucks.com, using your Waves account (Waves Keeper or Waves Exchange).

2: In the upper right corner, the amount of your EGG tokens will be displayed, and in the Duck Wallet, all of your digital ducks will be displayed.

3: To use the breeding functionality, you need two ducks, neither of which has yet been used for breeding, as a duck could be used for breeding only once.

4: If you don’t have ducks or have just one, use the Incubator tab to swap EGG tokens for ducks. Please, note that the price of each new duck in EGG tokens will be higher. EGG tokens can be bought on Waves.Exchange or Swop.fi.

5. With two ducks in your account, you’ll be able to use the Breeding tab to select two ducks and send them to breeding.

6. In two minutes, a new duck will be “born” and you can claim it.

Once the breeding operation is complete, you’ll have one more duck in your Duck Wallet, but neither of its “parents” could be again used for breeding.

The uniqueness of your new duck will depend upon your luck and the Waves VRF randomizer! At this point, breeding produces a duck with its parents’ genes. In the game’s future updates, a possibility of getting a 100% unique “jackpot duck” will be added. The breeding algorithm is explained in detail in the Duck Paper.

Hurry up to take advantage of the update and become one of the first to create your own duck empire! Meanwhile, in the coming weeks, the project’s team will release a marketplace where users will be able to sell and buy ducks and run auctions. The marketplace will also be initially used for duck NFT buybacks.
