When you wear green on October 6th, you’ll join people around the globe in support of those with a CP diagnosis, embrace diversity of movement, and reinforce the importance of accessibility for all.

A green selfie frame with a World Cerebral Palsy Day header and the hashtag Light Parliament Green. There is a circle over a person’s face in the middle of the frame, inviting people to join WAWOS Canada in Ottawa on October 6th, World CP Day.

Everyone can be an advocate and an ally for the 17+ million people around the world living with cerebral palsy. Green is the colour of advocacy, and wearing green is a simple, powerful way to show your support. Never doubt the impact one person can make — YOU can make a difference. It matters. Awareness matters.

If you’re in the Ottawa Canada area, join us on Parliament Hill on October 6th from 4:30 pm — 7:00 pm to raise awareness for cerebral palsy. Our group will be meeting at the Centennial Flame and we’d love to see you.

Disability advocacy isn’t just for families who have kids and adults living with differences and delays, but for anyone who is committed to being a kind human, and to raising kind humans. It’s for anyone who recognizes that ‘different’ doesn’t mean ‘less than’, and for all who understand how important it is that we build a world where all children have access to adventure and exploration.

Don’t underestimate the power you have to end stigmas associated with cerebral palsy, to promote inclusion, and to make another human feel seen and understood.
