Welcome to MeromAI
MeromAI is a human-powered AI platform based on Open Source LLM models. We are proud and excited to partner with the WAX community as the first AI project with a token on the WAX blockchain.
Running on a globally distributed network, MeromAI’s mission is to decentralize and democratize AI by allowing the global community to shape the future of AI. All users are contributors to the Decentralized AI Stack, and earn $AIMR tokens in exchange for their work training the Open Source LLMs and providing computing power. The resulting AI models will be included in apps to help people work, shop, play and interact with the world.
Why Decentralized AI is Important
ChatGPT changed the world of AI in the fall of 2022. AI quickly became dominated by large corporations running closed, costly, and proprietary infrastructure. In early 2023, MeromAI was formed by a global collection of AI and tech experts to provide a decentralized alternative to the corporate dominance of AI.
During Epoch I, which began in June 2023, the MeromAI team designed and built a vertically integrated, decentralized, human-powered Open Source AI platform. The team then pioneered Human-Powered AI, crowdsourcing the curation of Open Source AI data sets for applications across a broad range of topics, with thousands of participants. This was the first major step in MeromAI’s mission to democratize AI networks away from large corporations and into the hands of the global community.
MeromAI Tokenomics
The $AIMR utility token is designed to incentivize human curation to create high quality datasets, one of the most foundational building blocks missing in the AI landscape today.
$AIMR Tokenomics are built upon a community-first model. The goal of the $AIMR token is to align the global MeromAI community with the core contributors of MeromAI in order to build a robust AI technology stack and ecosystem.
Prior to launching $AIMR on WAX, there was no pre-mining, private token sale, or ICO. The token was launched in a fair manner, with initial liquidity at a low Fully Diluted Value added across several blockchains to allow the global community in at the ground floor.
Emissions of the $AIMR token are currently set to be awarded over 8 years, and will be persistent through different phases of our roadmap in order to align incentives at every step: AI training on Open Source models, Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) participation, AI Agent Development, and other interactive means that increase the decentralization of and access to Meromai multimodal AI models.
