New Partnership: WAX brings Toy Story and Star Wars branded watches to the blockchain with Colletrix

If you ever thought to yourself “I really wish my wristwatch had Buzz Lightyear on it, and that I could buy it on WAX” then today is your lucky day.
WAX is excited to announce a new partnership with Colletrix, a Hong Kong-based company that allows collectors to support their favorite artists, athletes and brands by doing what they love best — buying and trading collectibles.
Colletrix is a “one-stop-shop” solution that enables owners of intellectual property to sell their branded items directly to customers, like a Disney Toy Story watch for example. The watch is delivered to customers as an NFT (non-fungible token) that can be traded on the Ethereum and WAX Blockchains, and later redeemed for the physical item.
Colletrix has a wide range of intellectual property licenses that customers can choose to base their design on, including Star Wars, Batman, and many others. By allowing the original designers and intellectual property owners to trade directly with consumers, Colletrix is enabling the creators to benefit directly from their hard work in creating original intellectual property.
Why WAX?
Colletrix will build a marketplace powered by WAX, which means that its customers can trade NFTs on the WAX Blockchain and buy and sell them on WAX. In this cross-border collaboration, Colletrix will allow buyers to trade their physical Colletrix items using WAX’s digital platform so that ownership can be transferred instantly while the physical item remains in a warehouse.
Colletrix is backed by a talented team from UNDONE, Animoca Brands (another WAX partner), Future Arena and Bitwork Accelerator. In the near future, Colletrix will provide more announcements in the development of the WAX ecosystem. Stay tuned to WAX Twitter and Telegram for more updates!
