WAX Community Developer Highlight Series: WaxStash.com
WaxStash.com is an NFT marketplace for buying, selling, transferring, and escrowing NFTs on WAX. The goal is to provide an optimal user experience and user interface functionality, as well as automated Pack Breaks (more on this below). It was released in June 2020.
Who is behind the project?
Roy (Telegram: @waxstash) is an active buyer, seller, and developer in the community (who welcomes feedback and feature requests!).
What are the project’s greatest accomplishments?
The marketplace offers an exclusive community-based Pack Breaks feature. Pack Breaks allow NFT packs to be sold as slots, with each slot representing an NFT that the pack may drop. Once the slots fill, the pack opens automatically and assigns NFTs to their new owners. You can join the Pack Breaks Telegram here.
Here’s how Pack Breaks work:
Currently, packs are listed by WaxStash and any user can buy slots in a listed pack. A red bubble above the ‘PACK BREAKS’ button will indicate that there is a live pack, and how many remaining slots are available before the pack opens. Once the pack opens, multiple levels of randomization shuffle both the slots and the dropped NFT’s. Then the NFTs are assigned to their respective slots in accordance with randomized values. Those who purchased slots can then claim their NFTs.
This flow is being redesigned to a completely automated system that will allow multiple packs to be listed simultaneously by anyone, including the ability to automatically cancel and refund a pack and transfer the NFTs once they are assigned. The best way to learn more and follow the progress to the new system is to join the Pack Breaks Telegram here.
What would the project creator like the community to know?
WAXstash.com is the only marketplace with community-driven Pack Breaks, currently featuring GPK, KOGs, and Alien Worlds, with more to come in accordance with future NFT releases.
Also, as an active community member, Roy welcomes feedback and requests, saying: “If a request has enough support and is within my skill level, I’ll build it!”
