I find Roisin Murphy hit and miss, according to every indicator I should be a huge fan but some tracks just leave me cold, Sing It Back in particular despite Spotify’s regular attempts to get me to love it by sticking it on my discover list. Mastermind the nu-disco tinged opener from her new album is definitely a hit for me.

Blood Orange new album Freetown Sound has rarely been off my stereo since it was released last week, and my top track has to be disco-funk EVP featuring vocals from the legendary Blondie.

The Soulwax remix of Open Up The Sky from ex-Klaxon James Righton’s new project Shock Machine is 8 minutes of chilled out vocals, beats and pianos. I can see this being played across many a roof-terrace this summer.

Another one which is surely to become a roof-terrace staple, Sunset Over Hobo is an ode to Kenneth Bagers Danish home however the spanish guitar and laid back beats are more reminiscent of his Ibiza home.
