July 20th, 6pm. Copley Place, Boston

For one night only, Wayfair and Drizly, partnering with Creative Mornings, are rewriting the rules of usability testing: no observation rooms, no awkward moderators — just our prototypes, free drinks, and your honest feedback! For tickets and more information, visit our official event page.

At Wayfair, we make it easy for our customers to find exactly what they want for their homes at a price they can afford. Want to know our secret? We rely on an iterative, human-centered design process — which is a fancy way of saying we get to know our users and let their words and actions guide us.

Research and testing are the cornerstones of any customer-focused product strategy, but here at Wayfair, we like to go the extra mile. Our very own Consumer Insights team works tirelessly to collect and analyze data about current and future customers, even hosting weekly user testing sessions in collaboration with Product Managers and Designers. Despite the great success of these efforts, we’ve been searching for a way to more directly engage with a larger audience of our peers — that’s you!

The Wayfair Product Design team is pleased to announce Testing on Tap, an event sponsored by Wayfair and Drizly in partnership with Creative Mornings. For one night only, we are rewriting the rules of usability testing: no observation rooms, no awkward moderators — just our prototypes, free drinks, and your honest feedback!

That’s right, we’re using beer to help us build better products. How? By designing software and features that are so easy to use, you can navigate them seamlessly — even after a drink (or two).

This is where you come in. Join fellow creatives, product designers, product managers, engineers, and more at Wayfair’s HQ, where you can cool off with a cold one and play around with new features we’ve been brewing up, like an app that allows you to see life-size versions of products in real time using Google Tango’s AR technology. Spot something you don’t quite understand, or have an idea that could make our beta version better? Share it! You’re encouraged to loosen up and tell us how you really feel.

Can’t wait? Neither can we! The fun will begin on Thursday, July 20th, at 6pm, at our offices in Copley Place. Tickets are $5 per person, which includes admission, small bites, and exclusive access to emerging features. Oh, and also: FREE beer and wine provided by Drizly.

Interested? Of course you are! Still not quite convinced? We’ve got you covered. For tickets and more information, please visit our official event page.

Cheers!
