Muscle Monday: 5 Great Apps for Nonprofits
The weekly tip/tool/inspiration to start your week off strong.
There are so many ways technology can help a nonprofit or social entrepreneur, whether you’re just starting out or have been in the game for awhile. Here’s a short list of apps we think you should check out.
1. Buffer
Don’t let social media take over your life. This app lets you schedule your posts in advance so that you stay engaged with your online audience in a way that works for your busy schedule. It also helps you avoid overloading your pages with too much content.
2. Canva
Eye catching media is a must-have if you want to interact with people online. If you don’t have a designer handy, this website (and iPad app) is a great resource for creating digital content. They give you access to millions of stock photos, great fonts, and easy to use layouts.
3. Evernote
Who said organization couldn’t be easy? Evernote helps you save everything and access it on any device! Create to-do lists, snap a picture of that post-it note on your desk, or give yourself a voice memo — your Evernote will keep track of it all.
4. Flyp
Are you running your business or nonprofit from your cellphone? Flyp lets you add a unique telephone number just for your work. It keeps you organized and saves you from the two-phone hassle. Flyp also allows you to “mute” the business number when you need privacy.
5. GiveGab
This app simplifies fundraising and managing supporter and donor data. Create an online campaign to raise support for your event and organize your volunteers all from your account. The platform is designed specifically for nonprofits and it’s easy to use.
