Meet: Annika, founder of Talents, a digital recruiting agency from Munich
TALENTS is a digital recruiting agency that was founded in 2017. It helps fast growing start-ups to become a better employer and find more suitable people to work with and grow the business.
Annika, why did you start your own business and what has been your biggest challenge so far?
I had worked in countless campaigns and projects in the B2C, B2B and HR sectors and had a hard time identifying with useless consumption. I had been looking for a specialisation for some time and eventually TALENTS was born! Helping employers and matching them with suitable talents makes much more sense to me! I discovered the most untapped potential in the HR sector. HR needs so much help and urgently needs to become more digital.
What’s your personal advice for starting a business?
Get a good tax consultant. Don’t do the whole accounting by yourself.
What’s the most annoying advice you get over and over again?
When people keep questioning what you are doing. If I had listened to most advises in my life, I would have never studied abroad, would have never left the world of B2C marketing after already being quite successful, would have never started something completely new and would have never started my own business. In a nutshell: trust yourself and your gut feeling.
