The easiest way to get 100 followers
If the front door cannot be opened, use the back door.
I believe more than 50% of Medium writers are struggling to get 100 followers to be able to join MPP (Medium Partner Program). For those of you who are new and asking “What is the Partner Program?” The Partner Program allows writers to earn money for the content they publish on Medium based on engagement from Medium members, as well as users they convert to become Medium members.
So, I will keep it simple. Just follow these steps:
- Leave creative comments on this article. For example, “Hey let’s swap, help me get 100 followers and I’ll return the favor.” or mention people who need help in the comments column that you have followed and ask for return (if they don’t help you after 2x24 hours) — I suggestion to follow people who have less than 300 followers (the bigger mostly will less responsive).
- Clap this article as many times as you can to help the article gets out there, so more people can read it and leading to your comment being viewed.
Finally, be a good person. This post is designed to help one another, but it won’t work if you don’t return the favor; also don’t waste time by follow to unfollow. Follow me if you like my writing (without expecting to be followed back). Good luck every one!

First of all, I apologize for not being able to respond to the feedback that has been coming in lately because I was focused on filling out my microstock account. After this I will probably be less active on Medium (but I’ll be back) — sorry for that. Nonetheless I really appreciate all the feedback given — also those who have subscribed. In the 7 month journey since this article was published many authors have tried to carve their creative comments. Some of the other responses that came in had prominent characters, such as…
“No response?! Oke, delete comment ~ unfollow ~ bubye — we break up!”
“Oh, I didn’t realize there was no response. I even forgot I had left a comment. Well, at least I’ve left my footprint there.”
Most people seem to push with high hopes of earning some money in the future by writing. When I started writing, it took years to build up followers. Then I learned that we have to build relationships and many elements in it. If we do not experience all of this, what has been built can collapse instantly.
Getting followers at the beginning can help start our MPP career, but if we only focus on money we will justify by all means and ignore the quality of the articles. In the end, we will not get loyal followers and no career development.
