I love Sketch because of its speed, simplicity and vector-based drawing. Only sometimes I need to go back to good old’ Photoshop to help me do the things I can’t do with Sketch because it is missing functionality.

Luckily there are also a load of plugins for Sketch nowadays, but of course the one better than the other. For me, these are the plugins that really add value to my workflow;

Sketchrunner & Toolbox

Sketchrunner is like a magic combination of the Alfred app and NPM. It gives you a intelligent interface that can almost execute all actions and command from Sketch and your plugins. If you want to easily activate and use plugins in Sketch, this is the place to start.

Sketchrunner uses the default plugins dialog from Sketch., If you like to use a custom dialog for plugins you can also try Sketch toolbox (BETA) or Sketch packs, and they both act as a standalone application.

PDF Export

In Sketch you can only export one artboard to a PDF at a time. PDF export helps you to export all your artboards and pages into a single PDF at once.

Sketch Distributor

This plugin is great in helping you keep your spacing consistent. It automagically distributes selected objects vertically or horizontally with a specified spacing.

CSSketch

This is a Sketch plugin that enables you to modify your designs quickly by attaching it a stylesheet to it that you can use to lay out your designs, change colors and shadows quickly, etc. It supports Sass and {less} stylesheets, which means you can put functions and variables in your stylesheet to make your workflow even more efficient.

Pixel Perfecter

This plugin helps you find layers that have float (pixel imperfect) X, Y, width or height properties. It will help you keep your documents cleaner, and keep your design specs tight. You can go through all the bad layers, dealing with them on an individual basis, or tackle them all at once.

GIT

Finally some pretty good diffin’ for designers! This plugins let’s you use all the basic features you need from GIT, like commit, push and pull. But it also can show the diff between two Sketch file versions, and that is where it really comes in handy.

Stark

Stark is a color-blind simulator and contrast checker for Sketch. If you want to take accessibility in mind (you should) this is definitely the right plugin for you.

Replace Colour

I like this plugin because of its simplicity. Sometimes you messed up your symbols and layers and it takes a lot time to change a color in the different layers for a fill of border. But, not anymore!

Sketch Mirror

Well, this is not really a plugin, but if you aren’t using Sketch Mirror already, you should be starting to use it now! Sketch Mirror mirrors you selected artboard on iOS where you installed the Sketch Mirror app on.

Tell me yours!

There are a lot Sketch Plugins I’ve seen but I left out the ones that felt buggy to me and the ones that were ment for really specific use cases. Which plugins are the ones you can’t live without?
