  • Attend one of five Earth Day screenings of the film “Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution” between April 19 and 22, put on by One Earth Film Festival.
  • The Student Conservation Association is hosting 60 projects for Earth Day in honor of 60 years of SCA. On Sunday at 9 AM, you can help restore a wildlife corridor along the Lake Michigan waterfront.
  • The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and the Natural Resources Defense Council are partnering for their annual Earth Day celebration, a call to action and fundraiser at the Garfield Park Conservatory on April 26.
  • “Your Earth, Your Legacy: 29th Annual Earth Day Clean-Up” will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9AM to Noon, in parks throughout the Chicago area, and from noon to 2PM there will be a celebration at Humboldt Park.
  • Celebrate Earth Day at University of Illinois at Chicago at the Earth Day Sustainability Fair, an outdoor pop-up event planned by UIC students as part of “Garden for a Changing Climate” project next Monday. It will feature booths and activities from various organizations on campus and throughout Chicago that explore sustainable and green practices for everyday life.
  • HopCat Chicago is teaming up with 11 different breweries to raise money for healthy, productive green space through Advocates for Urban Agriculture Chicago. They’ll donate one dollar from each pint sold from their Earth Day beer on Sunday list to AUA.
  • Estelle’s Cafe & Lounge in Wicker Park is donating one dollar from all drinks sold on Saturday evening to the Gardeneers, the only Chicago-based nonprofit providing school garden programs that give communities equal access to healthy food and food education.
  • The Friends of Kilbourn Park Organic Greenhouse invite you to join them for Earth Day celebrations including speakers and litter cleanup on Sunday at 10 AM.
