Join OCA tutor Cheryl Huntbach on the 1 October at the South Square Centre in Bradford for one of OCA’s Big Draw study visits.

The day will involve an informal introduction to the exhibition and a practical drawing workshop; taking ideas from the ‘STEAM ahead’ exhibition as a springboard. This group exhibition curated by Yvonne Carmichael, includes a number of artists who approach drawing in diverse ways. Cheryl Huntbach is one of the exhibitors. Cheryl’s practice and research interests stem from an expanded notion of drawing; involving a range of analogue and digital processes. Her practice incorporates notions of repetition, pattern, laborious means of making and slight, temporary site-responsive drawings and for the very first time; a 3-D drawing pen.

The workshop will be of an exploratory, playful nature, to involve informal discussion and exploratory questions. Please bring a flexible and inquiring approach to the process, along with three of your own drawings. It would be useful to have your own brushes for water-based ink and masking tape. A range of drawing surfaces and other media will be provided free.

To reserve your place please email enquiries@oca.ac.uk or alternatively to request a place on a study visit please click here and complete the form.

For study events that require a ticket, there is a non refundable fee of £10 to pay and your confirmation email will instruct you on how to do this.
