How you can use decentralised applications (dapps) on Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, or Rollups like Arbitrum, Optimism or Blast with Talisman.

Talisman Wallet supports all your favorite EVM ecosystems, including Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, Astar zkEVM, and many more. If it’s an EVM Chain, Talisman supports it! This means you can securely hold and send tokens, and use dapps on all those chains. You can use any EVM dapp with Talisman in just two steps. If you’re not already a Talisman Wallet user, visit Talisman.xyz to download it.

Step 1: Create or Import an Ethereum Account

First you’ll need an Ethereum account in your Talisman Wallet. You can either create a new one, or import one via Private Key or Recovery Phrase from an existing wallet like Metamask, Trust Wallet, or Rabby.

Once you’ve created or imported your Ethereum Account, it will show up in your Talisman Wallet. If you’ve already got some tokens in that account, then Talisman will automatically populate your portfolio thanks to our Automatic Asset Detection feature.

Step 2: Connect Talisman to the dapp of your choice

You can already connect Talisman to most EVM dapps (Thanks to EIP-1193 and the Wallet Connection Libraries that implement it). Just navigate to your dapp of choice, click “Connect Wallet”, and choose “Talisman” from the list of supported wallets.

If you don’t see Talisman in the list wallets don’t worry! You can almost certainly still use Talisman on that dapp, just look for one of the following two options on the page:

Option 1: Metamask 🦊

Every EVM dapp supports Metamask, but you may not know that all browser wallets (including Talisman) connect to EVM dapps in the exact same way that Metamask does. In fact, having different buttons for each wallet on a dapp is not actually necessary, and only exist to improve the user experience for you.

If you have Talisman installed, you can choose “Metamask” when connecting your wallet. As long as you don’t also have Metamask installed or enabled, Talisman will pop up and allow you to select which accounts you want to connect. Keep in mind that other browser wallets like Rabby, Rainbow, Taho, or Phantom can also do this, so you may also have to disable those for this to work.

Option 2: Generic Browser Wallet

Dapps like Aave and some others recognise that all EVM wallets connect the same way, and have opted to have a generic wallet connection button which just says “Browser Wallet”, rather than a list of supported wallets. You can click this button and Talisman should pop up and let you choose which accounts you want to connect. Again, keep in mind that other browser wallets like Rabby, Rainbow, Taho, or Phantom can also do this, so you may have to disable those for it to work.

Step 3: Use your dapp of choice, stay safe!

So now you know how to connect your Talisman Wallet to any EVM dapp, it’s time to start exploring the multi-chain world with ease by using Talisman as your daily driver. Enjoy unparalleled security and convenience by taking advantage of some great features inside of Talisman, like:

  • Transaction Risk Analysis — See what the results of a transaction will be before you sign it, so you can avoid drainers or unforced errors.
  • Ledger Support — You can connect your ledger accounts to Talisman and get the benefit of hardware security with the convenience of a browser wallet.
  • Account Folders — Organise your accounts into neatly into folders like: “multisig signers” “airdrop farming”, “hot wallets”, “nft trading”, or anything your heart desires.
