Introducing Polkadot Multisig by Signet
Today, we are excited to announce Polkadot Multisig, the open community version of Signet for the ecosystem. Polkadot Multisig is a platform that simplifies multisig usage for teams and provides a base upon which developers can extend and integrate with to create richer Multisig experiences. Powered by Signet, the enterprise-focused Multisig from Talisman, Polkadot Multisig is an essential tool that helps teams manage their multisig operations simply and securely.
With the advent of programs like the Decentralized Futures (DF) program, many new teams are forming to handle activities like marketing and business development and are faced with managing their organization’s blockchain finances for the first time. In addition, increased spending on OpenGov is leading to new bounties and projects being created, where ecosystem participants need to come together as teams and use the security of multisigs. Polkadot Multisig is a critical tool to ensure these teams can execute at their highest potential by providing an easy to use community Multisig for the Polkadot ecosystem.
Polkadot Multisig makes common actions straightforward for teams, including setting up multisigs, receiving funds, paying team members/suppliers, staking funds and participating in governance. Polkadot Multisig is built for easy interaction with Dapps, and Multisigs are supported directly in Talisman Wallet, allowing users to connect any ecosystem dapp with their multisig.
For developers, Polkadot Multisig will provide integration options so that developers can extend and customise experiences within Polkadot Multisig. In addition, there is an SDK to integrate dapps directly into Signet, and there will be a developer program that will enable further integrations.
