Talisman’s New Multi-Chain Portfolio Management
Track your Polkadot assets in this multi-chain world using Talisman’s new portfolio management.
On the 27th of July, Talisman released a massive update to their portfolio management feature inside the Talisman wallet.
This allows anyone with assets in the Polkadot or Ethereum ecosystems (e.g. $ETH, $DOT, $KSM, $ASTR, $MOVR) to easily understand where their assets are, across the 34 parachains and all Ethereum chains (mainnet + L2s) that exist in the ecosystem today.
After working with the community to help build this feature, Talisman users have given amazing feedback about the latest update:

This has been previously difficult for a user to make sense of for two reasons:
One, with HRMP and XCM channels rapidly emerging and assets flying between parachains, and users have begun to accrue a single asset across multiple parachains, and in some cases may have $KSM on 3–6+ parachains.
Two, all Polkadot wallets and the majority of Ethereum wallets, structure users accounts by, ‘Chain’ first, whereas Talisman structures accounts by, ‘Asset’ first. This means users would need to select an account and then manually switch from chain to chain, trying to find the asset they are after — a terrible UX.
With Talisman’s unique and novel approach, users can at a glance see a single asset type over various chains, without having to hunt from chain to chain looking for the asset they require. The user can also view a single asset (as per the below image) and see what chain it is on, and which accounts hold that asset.
This new portfolio view is a breath of fresh air that the whole ecosystem has been calling out for!
To get started with the new portfolio view, ensure your Talisman wallet is updated to version v1.6.0 and above and open your wallet.
