Best resources for successful freelancers and remote workers
This is a revolution.
A real one, I mean. Technology is changing the way people work and disrupts many businesses. There is a need for Agility and Flexibility. Companies are looking for mobile and productive workforce. At the same time, Millennials are more concerned about well-being, personal development and the search for a purpose of life. These two phenomena lead to what MEDIA call the GIG ECONOMY.
A great example is the amazing UBUD coworking space in Bali where you can meet freelancers and entrepreneurs from all around the world, proudly wearing t-shirts emblazoned with the phrase “Work is Changing”. They come for a few days or weeks to find inspiration in an exceptional workspace. It is not at all a digital detox. Quite the reverse actually. With the availability of wifi and high-speed internet, you can work there like from anywhere else … but you can enjoy doing YOGA or Surfing during your spare time. And that makes a big difference.
By creating our platform (WE-ARE-TESTERS.COM), we wanted to enable the QA testers community to do what they like most (TESTING) under ideal conditions : the freedom to choose projects, schedule, and workspace.
If you want to embrace this movement (as a QA tester … or as a designer, a developer, a writer, a blogger, or an entrepreneur or whatever), here are some useful links:
