It’s official! August 24 marks the date when Season ALPHA begins.
After all this time spent waiting in anticipation we’re finally able to see all the amazing things The Sandbox has prepared for us. What to expect? How is GamerHash involved in all of this?

How to join Alpha 3, is it free?
First and foremost, Season ALPHA is open to all, for free. All you need is a TSB account. The event will last 10 weeks during which you’ll be able to access over 90 experiences allowing you to live out a thrilling solo adventure as well as feel how teamwork makes dreamwork in a multiplayer game.
Most of the experiences are USER GENERATED — and some of them are done in cooperation with some of the biggest IPs and celebrities in the world (eg. Snoop Dogg, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Adidas, Atari to name just a few)! Who wouldn’t want to see that?
Playable avatars for partner NFT collections
Another special feature of the new Season ALPHA are the newly voxelized, playable avatars from 13 different NFT collections. Want to explore the metaverse as a Bored Ape Yacht Club avatar? No problem! Has it always been your dream to go to a party with Steve Aoki?
Come along, possibilities are endless in The Sandbox metaverse!
Rewards for The Sandbox supporters
You know the saying “Nothing ventured, nothing gained”, right? Well, guess what — it doesn’t apply to the Sandbox ALPHA 3!
That’s because, this season, you don’t have to take ANY risks in order to reap the rewards. The new system will ensure you are rewarded just for being a supporter of the project, meaning you have an Alpha pass, you’re a LAND Owner, Avatar Owner or a holder of one of the approved NFT Collections.
What’s more, The Sandbox will be also giving away 1.5 M SAND to the best users in the leaderboard. Complete quests and get Ethos points (EPs) in return! The more EPs you earn, the bigger chance you have to become a top ranking player!
To top it all off, to claim the rewards, users will have to file the Know Your Customer (KYC) form. The KYC is planned for the end of ALPHA 3 and is meant to prevent scams and enforce the 1 player = 1 account rule. You will still be able to play the game without completing the KYC form, but it will be required to get the earned rewards.

TRAVERSE: MARS IS MINE
As you know, we’re creating our very own game in The Sandbox Metaverse! It’s the first out of many other experiences we’re planning for you. The game, is called “TRAVERSE: MARS IS MINE” and it will be featuring the adventures of our brand hero — Astro.
The players will be able to join our charming, little friend as he discovers new, exciting places and also to benefit from our Play & Earn system.
However, during the wait to join Astro on his adventures, we will be actively participating in The Sandbox Season ALPHA 3. After all, we’ve also been waiting to see what this season has to offer and we want to share that experience with you!
