Disinformation is the most dangerous man-made force on the planet. While most of us would never consider lying as a profession or a way of life, some believe they are above consequences and can say and do whatever they want. Understanding the depth of this deception is nearly impossible because most of us are not wired to think and act in such a manner.
Disinformation is like nuclear power’s dastardly cousin, wreaking havoc without even needing to launch. Just the whisper of fake news can send people into a frenzy, and the more brazen the liar, the more sinister their deceit. But fear not, because by outsmarting this viral stupidity, we can actually make a difference.
Before we get into the “outsmarting” part of this process, first we have to agree on some meanings of words.
To have a conversation, we must share the same understanding. Many words have multiple meanings, but let’s agree on specific definitions for this conversation.
