City of Ghosts is a unique augmented reality film experience that allows the user, equipped with a smart phone, tablet or video glasses, to interact freely in real space and time with virtual life-size characters. The film revolves around La Stilla, a famous soprano of the Belle Époque, and the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death.

Daughter of a music teacher and a school professor, La Stilla studied in Paris and Milan. She enjoyed her first great success in La Sonnambula by Bellini, and made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in Puccini’s Manon Lescault, which secured her international reputation as a great artist. She also made several film and sound recordings thanks to Edison’s kinetographer, who brought her fame and recognition with a much wider audience. When she meets William Anderson, the wealthy businessman, it is love at first sight. La Stilla decides to leave the opera scene permanently to marry and finally live her true love far from the stage. But at her farewell recital, she dies abruptly and mysteriously on the stage of the National Theater. Film participants help provide meaning and solve the strange events around her death…City of Ghosts is calling your name…
