What Did My Parents Think?
Freeing Humans from Slavery
I had good parents. They thought we were on the edge of freeing all People from slavery to money, attention, and the elite men who wielded the power behind these two things to supersede all other humans for all time. This behavior goes back to Mesopotamia, but probably long before. People have always followed their leaders without question. Their leaders have always acquired power through the use of military force and tales of all kinds.
They were wrong for so many reasons. Yes, both, parents and society.
Of course, I didn’t want them to be wrong. They were my parents. They were my society. They were my leaders.
Surely, there were things they thought that were true.
Only for individuals though.
My dad thought if you just read enough of the latest psychology, you would understand how humans worked, and could direct them accordingly. He assumed people wanted good advice and would follow it once they had recognized advice as good, and would reject advice were it bad.
Good. Bad. What do those things mean?
