Watford Week
Back in June Watford descended on Grey towers for 5 days. They were keen as hell. Totally mad in a mostly brilliant kind of way. They did a brief a day. And come the epic review on Friday, each team had an impressive pile of scribbled layout paper next to them.
Continuing a trend Emily and I noticed from our workshop with Bucks last year, the class was 90% female. We don’t like getting into the gender debates normally, but it was great to see so many girls that will be potentially sitting in creative departments by Christmas.
As always, competition was strong and slightly furocious. Which is why we couldn’t choose a winner. Instead we gave placements to both Holly & Miriam and Aly & Emma.
Both teams proved themselves on multiple briefs and have great books for teams fresh out of college. Congrats to them.
And good luck to all the students, not that they’ll need it.
