THE MONTUCKY COLD SNACK

My favorite beer of all time is the Montucky Cold Snack. Why you ask? There are many reasons.

1. The name is stellar. “Montucky” is a slang term for Montana, where this beer is distributed. A “Cold Snack” is a beer. Obviously.
2. I love what they stand for! The Cold Snack website says that this beer is for badass do-gooders. This is what I strive to be. 8% of sales go to local causes in Montana, which is dope!
3. The can is amazing. The design was the first thing that drove me toward Montuckies, with a horse galloping across a mountain range with a sorta rainbow behind it. MAJESTIC.

Let’s dive into it, shall we?

This is a picture from 3 years ago when I first discovered Montucky Cold Snacks in Portland, OR. Peep the attempt at nail polish.

Beer name: Montucky Cold Snack

City and country of origin: Brewed in Wisconsin (cuz it was cheaper to brew it there, which I respect), but the company is based out of Bozeman, Montana, USA. *Fun fact: My parents spend a quarter of each year in Bozeman to go fly fishing in Yellowstone National Park!*

Year created: 2011

ABV: 4.0%

Cost: $7.99 for a 6-pack of tall boys

TASTE: You can have a Cold Snack LEGIT anytime. It’s a light and tasty beer that satisfies in any situation and in any weather. The Cold Snack is a refreshingly chill lager that reminds me slightly of PBR’s charm without being as sweet.

Even though it is a light beer, the body is medium so it may fill you up, especially if you are having a tall boy.

How do I feel? Peeps always feel good when they have a Cold Snack. I mean, look at the company’s Instagram. My heart is very warm as I share some Snacks with my film crew that I’ll be working with on a music video this weekend. This is the ideal fun-time beer. If a reliable friend could be a beer, it’d be a Montucky Cold Snack.

When to drink a Montucky Cold Snack: Whether you’re going out skiing or sitting inside eating pizza, pop open a Cold Snack if you want a smile on your face, y’all. As I write this I have a can in my backpack and a few cans in my fridge at work. Keeping the homies around.

This is an approachable and light-hearted beer for all activities. Cold Snacks have spirit and enthusiasm. And so do I for this brew.

Overall rating: 10/10. CUE THE FIREWORKS.
