This issue of the ezine is a short creative writing prompt to “Compose a poem or poetic short story about April flowers and a cat romance.” Contributors were asked to share a creative writing piece on these themes of up to 500 words.

Daffodils
She played in the garden as the sun kissed the sky,
The birds called the morning from their branches up high.
She frolicked, and through the long grass she did bound,
At the border she stopped. Amazed what she found.
For there, stood some flowers, she hadn’t yet seen,
With their bright yellow trumpets and their stems strong and green.
