The Challenge
There’s so much negativity and sorrow in the world that it’s easy to lose sight of our own joys, of what inspires gratitude in us. What inspires you with gratitude and hope? I challenge you to write a poem or an essay full of aspirational hope and expressing gratitude for what is good in your life.
Inspired Gratitude
We all live a life forged in hope… and clinging to hope on a road toward our dreams. The fruition of our hopes and dreams is sometimes difficult to see until we look back on the road we’ve travelled. We look for cause or blame when things don’t seem to go the way we think they should. That blame often falls upon ourselves — at least, I’m prone to self-blame. With introspection though, clarity finds its way into the forefront of my perceptions.
That clarity is in seeing that, for all the stumbles and the travails of life, the moments of joy and the love shared in my life are truly astounding treasures. And, that demands unfettered gratitude. That is what I tried to express with this poem —…
