Everyone knows by now that way too little venture funding goes to women and minority backed businesses.

Everyone also knows that entrepreneurship is one of the most meaningful and impactful ways to generate lasting wealth.

The 1%, even the loud-mouthed-presidential candidate-kind, got to be that way primarily through being business owners.

The wealthiest Americans are business owners in some capacity and so finding a way to bridge the divide between capital formation and would be entrepreneurs seems like the best thing we can do to close the wealth gap in this country.

This is also a win for our economy. Entrepreneurs create value. They create jobs. They even pay taxes.

Bringing more funding and support to women and minority backed businesses might be the most obvious idea on the planet for making a positive impact.
