Make Your Voice Heard!

Our veterans stood up for us. It’s now your turn to #Stand4Heroes

Bob Woodruff Foundation
Writing for Heroes

--

The Bob Woodruff Foundation is seeking volunteers to become Social Media Ambassadors. Ambassadors will broaden the foundation’s online presence and generate awareness for the needs of today’s veterans and their families.

Ambassadors should be enthusiastic about engaging others in the veteran conversation—all while maintaining a positive, non-partisan outlook in keeping with the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s mission, vision and core commitments.

Help share stories of resilience and recovery that inspire others to support our cause!

Social Media Ambassadors will be asked to:

  • Follow Bob Woodruff Foundation social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Instagram
  • Actively promote and share what taking a #Stand4Heroes means to them, and what the foundation does to support post-9/11 impacted veterans and their families
  • Introduce their network to all the ways they can contribute and donate to the foundation (including becoming ambassadors themselves)
  • Contribute positive messages and work to build awareness of #Stand4Heroes and the Bob Woodruff Foundation

We also encourage ambassadors to submit short stories, poems, and other creative pieces that can be featured in Writing for Heroes, our blog publication.

As the program grows, we will look for ways to incentivize ambassadors’ efforts. In the meantime, the program is a:

  • Resume-building volunteer experience that can be shared with employers
  • Opportunity to establish and/or further develop online personal brand
  • Opportunity to be entered into a raffle to win Stand Up for Heroes tickets

Registration is simple and once a month, Social Media Ambassadors will receive an email with sample posts and tips.

About the Bob Woodruff Foundation: The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) was founded in 2006 after reporter Bob Woodruff was hit by a roadside bomb while covering the war in Iraq. Since then, the Bob Woodruff Foundation has led an enduring call to action for people to stand up for heroes and meet the emerging and long-term needs of today’s veterans. To date, BWF has invested more than $35 million to find, fund and shape programs that have empowered more than 2.5 million impacted veterans, service members and their families.
