Peacekeepers share their love for Valentine’s Day

UN Peacekeepers, who hail from over 120 countries, are stationed across the world, often in remote and isolated places. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our military, police and civilian personnel have remained diligent in adapting to new measures and tasks, and assisting in local responses to the crisis. With additional travel restrictions and quarantine rules in place, for many the gap between seeing family and friends has been longer than normal.

For Valentine’s Day, we compiled some special messages from our peacekeepers to their loved ones back home. Hear their heartwarming words:

This Valentine’s Day, we are expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the 95,000 peacekeepers deployed to 12 operations for all their hard work and sacrifice.
